Every Dismal Obstacle in Life is a Storm In our everyday life, we can be caught up in a storm. This storm does not have to be a hurricane, earthquake, or a tornado, sweeping through our hometown or city to devastate us; it can also be the reality of everyday life smacking us in the face. Every challenge we face in this world is a storm. Oftentimes, it goes no further than our own homes, where home-field advantage does not even matter. In the Eye of the Storm Some people in this world tend to worry about the end of the world. They worry about sickness, tragic accidents, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, and other destructions that may come and take away their life or their loved ones’ lives. They then start to worry about the end of the entire world through a nuclear war. They worry about these things only when such things are coming their way. They worry about these things only when we have threats of a war coming our way. They then worry about the second coming of Christ, and they worry about this only if they are not right with God. When the 9/11 tragedies happened and unfolded right before our very eyes, it really upset us all. Pain shot through us all. People even worried about war coming “right here” to the United States. Nevertheless, we all have a war going on every single day in our own homes. More people die through the hands of our own loved ones. Yes, more people die from the ones they have loved and trusted. We also have a war going on right inside of us. We cannot worry about the end of the world, and change our plans because we think a nuclear bomb is going to come and kill us all off. What we may need to change is the way we live our lives. Every minute of every day is the end of this world for someone. Your life could be lost in the blink of an eye. That is why it is so important that we are ready for the Judgment Day through Christ our Lord every single minute of the day. We must prepare ourselves for any type of tragedy, whether it is a car crash, a terminal illness, a tornado, an earthquake, or a hurricane, we must prepare ourselves for the end of our time. So often, we take life for granted. We believe that only death comes to other people. Mostly teenagers believe this, as they believe they are indestructible. The fact is; life may end in death on this earth before you are even born. This means death has no age limit. We take life for granted, and that is the worst we can do. We must live each day of our life, as if it is our last, as I said. I stress this, as it is so important. Did you tell your mother, your father, your sister, or your brother, your spouse, or your children that you loved them today? Did you hug them? Did you praise them? Did you give them all that you could give them on this day? If one of them should perish from this earth on this day, would you feel closure “on your part” that you loved them with your whole heart, mind and soul, and in all ways that you could love them, leaving nothing out? This is essential, that you feel closure at all times with everyone. You never know when the end of the world will come for you, or for anybody else, for that matter. You should live each day to its fullest, as though it will be your last day. You should learn, as you are going to live forever. You must do this, and then peace will reign with you at all times. When you are in the midst of trouble, you should always seek God to help with these troubles. You may think God is against you, because you think He has put you in a crisis. However, listen, my folks: God knows your troubles, before you even knew your troubles. Sometimes God even puts us in time of trouble in order to get us out of trouble. This may sound so very wrong, and so very malicious, but if you really understood why God would allow trouble to come your way in order to fix trouble that is already in your way, you would understand why it takes the bad to get to the good. Most of the time, we start our own troubles; God just sometimes allows it to happen and then helps you make something good come out of something so bad. God has promised in the Bible that He would help us out of our times in trouble. God can and will be our strength in our times of trouble. He will be our backbone if we just ask Him to help us. “But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: He is their strength in the time of trouble.” - Psalm 37:39 God can be your stronghold in the midst of your troubles only if you ask this of Him. “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in him.” - Nahum 1:7 I WROTE THIS BOOK TO TRY AND HELP OTHERS OUT. THE FIRST PART OF THE TITLE IS "HURRICANE KATRINA" AND EVEN THOUGH MY BOOK DOES NOT HAVE ALOT ABOUT THE HURRICANE, BUT INSTEAD SOME ABOUT THE HURRICANE, I CHOSE THAT FOR MY TITLE TO DEDICATE AND KEEP THE MEMORY ALIVE OF HURRICANE KATRINA, AND ONLY FOR THE VICTIMS AND THE FAMILY OF THE VICTIMS.
